WHAT DO UTILITIES REQUIRE FOR THEIR FUTURE
GAS TURBINE POWER GENERATION FLEET?
This session will assess the key considerations facing
utilities today when planning gas turbine plants for
the future. The influx of renewables has seen gasfired
generation become the technology of choice to
complement these intermittent generating sources.
However, utilities now face a host of questions when
considering building new gas turbine fleet:
• How will the new gas turbine fleet be used?
• What are the operational challenges facing gas
turbines today and in the future?
• How are future energy policies likely to affect gas
turbine design?
• How will CO2 and industrial emissions legislation
impact gas turbine plants?
