Are you interested in volunteering in an arts
organization but wondering if you have the
necessary knowledge? The members of Art
Sales & Rental Society are currently seeking a
few enthusiastic volunteers who have a love
of art and learning, have some computer
knowledge, and would enjoy working in a
visually stimulating environment.
usually volunteers work one morning shift
or afternoon shift on weekdays only. while
the gallery is open year round, volunteer
shifts run from September to mid June; with
summers off.
working in the gallery is a rewarding experience
for those who might enjoy helping
patrons select art work for their home
or office, assisting new and established
artists, and all the myriad details involved
in maintaining the gallery.
Training is provided and each volunteer has
a partner they work with regularly. If you
enjoy interacting with people, are able to
commit to one half day a week, and are a
member of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia (or
would like to join the AGNS) we would love
to hear from you. �
