<strong>Camp</strong> <strong>JCC</strong> provides hundreds <strong>of</strong> children non-stop fun in our general and specialty camp<br />
programs for ages 4-15. <strong>Camp</strong> <strong>JCC</strong> programs build strong Jew<strong>is</strong>h identities, foster lasting<br />

Mitzvah Corps gets an extreme makeover and takes service learning to a new level for<br />
Summer 2012! <strong>Camp</strong>ers will participate in hands-on activities locally, as well as travel to great<br />
sites in other places (cities to be determined). <strong>Camp</strong>ers will explore<br />
<strong>is</strong>sues relevant to today’s world, learn advocacy training skills and<br />
make a difference through proactive community service. Each twoweek<br />
session cons<strong>is</strong>ts <strong>of</strong> two segments:<br />
Week one: 5 one-day local trips<br />
Week two: 1 five-day overnight travel to another city, where service<br />
learning <strong>is</strong> combined with other fun activities and sightseeing<br />
adventures.<br />

Capital <strong>Camp</strong>s: Families get a $100 d<strong>is</strong>count ($50<br />
from <strong>Camp</strong> <strong>JCC</strong> and $50 from Capital <strong>Camp</strong>s) for<br />
splitting their camper’s 7 week summer between<br />
<strong>Camp</strong> <strong>JCC</strong> and Capital <strong>Camp</strong>s. A camper must<br />
spend 3 weeks at one camp and 4 weeks at the<br />
other camp to qualify for th<strong>is</strong> d<strong>is</strong>count. A total <strong>of</strong> 7<br />
weeks <strong>of</strong> camp enrollment, shared between <strong>Camp</strong><br />
<strong>JCC</strong> and Capital <strong>Camp</strong>s (June 25-August 10), <strong>is</strong><br />
required.<br />

<strong>Camp</strong> <strong>JCC</strong> <strong>is</strong> accredited by the American <strong>Camp</strong><br />
Association and licensed by the Maryland State<br />
Department <strong>of</strong> health and Mental hygiene under<br />
the Maryland Youth <strong>Camp</strong> Act. <strong>Camp</strong> <strong>JCC</strong> meets or<br />
exceeds all <strong>of</strong> the health and safety guidelines set<br />
forth by the State <strong>of</strong> Maryland and Montgomery<br />
County.<br />

Experienced pr<strong>of</strong>essionals superv<strong>is</strong>e and<br />
implement all <strong>of</strong> <strong>Camp</strong> <strong>JCC</strong>’s programs. <strong>Camp</strong>ers<br />
are under the direct superv<strong>is</strong>ion <strong>of</strong> a trained staff<br />
member at all times. At <strong>Camp</strong> <strong>JCC</strong>, we exceed<br />
American <strong>Camp</strong> Association staff/camper ratios.<br />
During the 1 week programs before and after<br />
camp, children are superv<strong>is</strong>ed by Montgomery<br />
Sports Association’s pr<strong>of</strong>essional and experienced<br />
adult staff.<br />

Financial ass<strong>is</strong>tance <strong>is</strong> available to <strong>JCC</strong>GW<br />

drop <strong>of</strong>f and pick up lane. Parents can also<br />
choose to park and walk their campers into their<br />
base rooms before camp and pick them up in the<br />
parent pick up room after camp. For questions<br />
