Camp JCC provides hundreds of children non-stop fun in our general and specialty camp
programs for ages 4-15. Camp JCC programs build strong Jewish identities, foster lasting
friendships, and create memories that last a lifetime. We offer a wide variety of programs
and very flexible hours.

mItZVAH CoRPS—tRAVel CAmP
eARN uP to 30 SSl HouRS PeR SeSSIoN!
Mitzvah Corps gets an extreme makeover and takes service learning to a new level for
Summer 2012! Campers will participate in hands-on activities locally, as well as travel to great
sites in other places (cities to be determined). Campers will explore
issues relevant to today’s world, learn advocacy training skills and
make a difference through proactive community service. Each twoweek
session consists of two segments:
Week one: 5 one-day local trips
Week two: 1 five-day overnight travel to another city, where service
learning is combined with other fun activities and sightseeing
adventures.
SPeCIAlty
Camp JCC specialty camps offer programs in electives, creative arts and sports. Programs are
available in all 3 sessions unless specified.
ZAHAV—eleCtIVe ACtIVItIeS
ENTERING GRADES 4, 5 & 6
Zahav provides campers the opportunity
to customize their own schedules from a
variety of activities (chugim) such as Digital
Photography, Camp Show, Archery, Golf, and
Gaga Explosion. Zahav’s schedule includes
daily instructional and recreational swims,
as well as field trips,
late stays, overnights,
Shabbat celebrations
and special events.
OMANUT—CReAtIVe
ARtS
ENTERING GRADES 1-6
Creativity, selfexpression
and oodles
of fun are what Omanut
campers experience
in our enhanced art specialty camp program.
Guided by working artists, campers enjoy the
creative process through drawing and painting,
crafts, sculpture, collage, cartooning, fiber art,
architecture or ceramics. The Omanut schedule
also includes recreational swim, Shabbat
celebrations and special events.
MACCABIAH —SPoRtS CAmP
by Montgomery Sports Association (MSA)
ENTERING GRADES 1-9
Maccabiah sports camp at the JCCGW offers
first class introduction and skill development
in multiple sports. Each week campers choose
from a daily menu of four sports blocks per day
(each block offering two or three choices of
sport). Skill development is offered in a variety

physical, cognitive and
multiple disabilities.
Socialization, recreation
and independent living
skills are enhanced in
a fun environment. An

WHAt DISCouNtS Do you offeR?
multiple Sessions: The more you play, the less
per week you pay.
early bird: Pay in full by December 30, 2011 and
receive a $50 discount per camper.
Capital Camps: Families get a $100 discount ($50
from Camp JCC and $50 from Capital Camps) for
splitting their camper’s 7 week summer between
Camp JCC and Capital Camps. A camper must
spend 3 weeks at one camp and 4 weeks at the
other camp to qualify for this discount. A total of 7
weeks of camp enrollment, shared between Camp
JCC and Capital Camps (June 25-August 10), is
required.
IS CAmP JCC ACCReDIteD AND lICeNSeD?
Camp JCC is accredited by the American Camp
Association and licensed by the Maryland State
Department of health and Mental hygiene under
the Maryland Youth Camp Act. Camp JCC meets or
exceeds all of the health and safety guidelines set
forth by the State of Maryland and Montgomery
County.
WHo ARe tHe CouNSeloRS AND otHeR
PRofeSSIoNAlS?
Experienced professionals supervise and
implement all of Camp JCC’s programs. Campers
are under the direct supervision of a trained staff
member at all times. At Camp JCC, we exceed
American Camp Association staff/camper ratios.
During the 1 week programs before and after
camp, children are supervised by Montgomery
Sports Association’s professional and experienced
adult staff.

Financial assistance is available to JCCGW
members. The deadline to apply for financial
assistance is February 13, 2012. A Camp JCC
application must be submitted

Carpool—Camp JCC offers a convenient carpool
drop off and pick up lane. Parents can also
choose to park and walk their campers into their
base rooms before camp and pick them up in the
parent pick up room after camp. For questions
or assistance regarding transportation, please
contact transportation@jccgw.org.

The deposit is non-refundable unless the program
you apply for is full.
Withdrawal on or before may 1, 2012
Full tuition fees are refundable, including
transportation and AM/PM Extended Day fees, less
the non-refundable per session per camper deposit.

Requests for changes to programs, sessions,
transportation and/or AM/PM Extended Day after
enrollment will be based on availability and space.
Each change after December 30, 2011 will result in
a $25 per child administrative fee. A $25 fee will
be charged to the account of the cardholder for a
declined credit card or any other returned payment.
