easiest and secuerest way to your test results.
Intuitive and easy handling
Intuitive handling via digital potentiometer
Short training time on the machine: The simple menu navigation
allows starter to test after a short training time.
LED illumination
The optical evaluation works with LED illumination. LED illumination
is cost saving since it has got a high duration of
life (greater than 10 years).
The use of the LED illumination allows automatic light control.
KB optical zoom
KB Prüftechnik
Optical magnification
KB hardness testers work with optical zoom (10 steps, 1:7 magnification).
The zoom enlarges optically, not digitally. This allows a high picture quality
even in big enlargements.
Time and cost saving
The KB optical zoom reduces costs since it can replace
up to 4 object lenses. Just one object lens is
necessary. The object change partially falls out
completely.
Testing according to standards (DIN EN ISO, ASTM)
The KB optical zoom allows testing acc. to standards of a huge test load
range. The object lens change falls away. By the use of the KB optical zoom
a picture confirming to standards is always guaranteed.
Max 32 mm
Min 10 mm
New clamping cap
The new KB clamping cap uses slideable holding–
down devices. Therefore samples with minimum
10mm up to maximum 32mm width can be measured.
Objectives with ring light can be changed without
removing the
clamping cap.
What is Load Cell Range?
Load Cell Range ist the load application controlled by a load cell:
Due to the closed loop system the KB 150R– 3000 line achieves a highly precise
test load range from 0,2kgf to 3000kgf without load variation.
 Maximum accuracy:
The KB hardness testers apply all loads in a closed loop system. Due to the prin
ciple of load application by a load cell the KB 150R, KB 250– KB 3000 line
achieves a high– precision load application in a range of 0,2kgf up to 3000kgf
without load overflow or load undercut.
 Maintenance– free load application:
This load application system always allows to apply the exact load, independent
of friction influences, pollution or enviromental conditions. This causes an
extensive cost reduction in the maintenance, since expensive, mechanical ad
justments of springs and levers, which are required for the load application, do not
apply.
Flexible and high-precise load application time, according to standard :
Due to the load application controlled by a load cell the requested load application
times according to the demands of the standards is absolutely no problem. This
can only be achieved by a real load control system (not possible with a simple
load control).
Advantages of the closed loop system compared to a dead weight system
Maximum precision. In the closed loop load system, in contrast to a dead weight
system, the testing load applied on the indenter will be constantly measured and
controlled. This allows a huge selection of testing loads and testing methods!
 No overflow behaviour:
The load overflow behaviour, which comes from the contact between indenter and
sample surface completely stays away
Data management
KB Prüftechnik
The test values are exported via the serial interface of the hardness tester. Via the
Objective
The Steinwald– box allows a junction of further measuring
devices. For example: The hardness can be consolidated
with the dimensions of a digital measuring slide. These test
data can be handed to a PC or a net work.
Calotte
The KB ringlight became irreplaceable in Brinell
hardness testing. By the use of the patented dark
field illumination evan indentations on soft material
will be evaluated correctly by presenting the indentation
light and the surface of the sample
dark.
The actual indentation becomes visible by the use of the indirect illumination, not
the reflection of the bank which was accumulated during the test (see picture below).
Furthermore the dark field illumination allows testing on badly prapared
surfaces.
Evaluation with ringlight
Die Erweiterung der Ringlichtauswertung
bei Vickers ermöglicht nun auch Vickers-
Auswertungen bei schwieriger Oberfläche.
Riefen und dergleichen stellen auch
bei der automatischen Auswertung keine
Herausforderung dar. Durch die Dunkelfeldbeleuchtung
wird die Prüfung unabhängig
der Oberflächengüte ausgeführt.
