WHAT IS SODIUM FLUORIDE (NaF) SURESTART?
Sodium Fluoride (NaF) SureStart is a peer review and orientation program
developed by IBA Molecular, which allows you to launch and develop a NaF
PET/CT service to your customers with accuracy and confi dence, regardless
of your previous level of experience with NaF PET/CT image interpretation.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The core of the program is a peer review system, enabled by
PETLinQ’s secure, HIPAA-compliant, web-based interface. Study
images and reports are submitted electronically and reviewed
by Robert S. Bridwell, M.D., a noted PET/CT physician with
wide experience in NaF PET/CT interpretation. Peer reviews are
returned promptly, accompanied by a notifi cation email to alert
readers of review availability. A Peer Review includes comparative
observations on scan protocol and images, interpretation and
reporting elements, and may also include literature references
regarding unique aspects of NaF PET/CT imaging.
LAUNCH WITH CONFIDENCE
Who is Dr. Bridwell?
Dr. Robert Bridwell,
medical advisor to IBA
Molecular North America,
is a board-certifi ed
physician in both Internal
Medicine and Nuclear Medicine.
He has extensive knowledge and
experience in continuous quality
improvement programs for PET and
PETCT imaging, utilizing physician
development assistance, and quality
assurance guidelines.
NaF SureStart allows you to immediately begin your NaF PET/CT program with the assurance
of quality images and interpretation from the fi rst scan. In addition, it provides tools for your
clinical staff to help develop their expertise in this imaging modality. SureStart includes tutorial
slide decks, literature references and case studies which address the key aspects of Sodium
Fluoride bone imaging, including patient preparation, scan protocols (SNM Guidelines),
BRING VALUE TO YOUR REFERRERS
From the fi rst scan, SureStart allows you to quickly provide results and demonstrate a
high quality of service to your referrers, building their confi dence. Adding this important
PET/CT imaging service, and doing so in a profi cient and professional manner, will help
you continue to develop your reputation in the medical community.
UPGRADE WITH EASE AND CONVENIENCE
PETLinQ’s Web-based interface and electronic submission forms provide for the
convenient and effi cient exchange of reports and images between imaging centers,
peer review experts and referring physicians. All forms and paperwork are submitted
electronically, with no need for paper copies. Secure web-based technology eliminates
the need to install software or run a VPN.
Because it works on an on-demand basis, SureStart allows you to decide, case by case,
when you need peer review. At the beginning of your NaF experience, you may want to
request a peer review for each case. As your experience with NaF grows, Surestart will
allow you to request peer-review support only for those cases that you feel warrant an
educational review.
Peer reviews are returned promptly, with email notifi cation, allowing you to provide
quality reports and quick turn-around to your referring community.
