tricia moores cliff ’86
On december 23, 2008, tricia moores cliff, class of 1986, her husband and four
children were all involved in a serious motor vehicle accident while traveling to visit
family for the holidays. All four children ended up in the pediatric intensive care Unit of cleveland's
rainbow Babies and children's hospital on christmas day. tricia began an email journal as a venue to
inform family and friends, but as the email thread grew and grew, it became apparent that the author's
faith, humor and tenacity during a time of great emotional and physical struggle was truly an inspiration
to hundreds of readers, many of whom encouraged her to write a book. Love, Blessings and Seatbelts is
the product. the memoir contains all the unedited emails and hundreds of responses to those emails received
from all over the world. it also includes many black and white photos.
the book has been hailed as a wonderful book to read to help strengthen
your faith or to give as a gift to someone who is experiencing trials of their
own. A porttion of the proceeds of the book will go to support several charities,
including the ronald mcdonald house of cleveland and West end
ministries of high point, nc. tricia, her husband mike and their four children

marjorie Worster thibodeau, attended ’54/’55
the year was 1889. Wilhelmina tuckerman and her family were on their way to mount
desert island in maine to spend the summer because her father, samuel, had insisted
they go their instead of the Birkshires as they had done in previous years. the family
was sure they were going to dislike mount desert island!
When the steamship pulled into Frenchman Bay, they were all speechless as they gazed
at the beauty that surrounded them. the little town of eden (Bar harbor) nestled against
the backdrop of green mountain (cadillac mountain). the sky was so blue without a cloud in sight, and
the air so pure and refreshing. As the summer unfolds, Wilhelmina meets a young indian girl. they become
forever friends and share many adventures...
Once Upon a Summer: The Summer of 1889 on Mount Desert Island is a children’s book written for the
middle reader. it also has great appeal for anyone who has visited mount desert island and fallen in love
with its awe-inspiring beauty.
marjorie Worster thibodeau was born in
prentiss and attended LA in the mid-50’s.
today she is a mother of five and grandmother
of 17 and lives in Lincoln, maine,
with her husband stuart and her shih tzu, murphy.
