Facts are Perishable<br />
When an able investor first buys stock in a<br />
company, he is apt to be very close to it. Its<br />
earnings, competitive situation, research<br />
activities, and character of management<br />
are factors of great importance to him<br />
and he reaches out for every bit of information<br />
he can acquire.<br />
But with the passage of months or<br />
years, it is not unusual for other matters<br />
to absorb his major attention. His "stake"<br />
in the enterprise continues but new facts<br />
are overlooked, or outweighed by past<br />
impressions. And as the facts change, his<br />
investment may be endangered.<br />
