<strong>Graitec</strong> inc., was created in 2009 following the merger of CivilDesign<br />
inc. and <strong>Graitec</strong> inc. CivilDesign inc. was founded in 1994 by Mr. Denis<br />
Lefebvre, Eng., in Longueuil, Quebec, Canada. He supervised the<br />
development of VisualDesign, a 2D & 3D structural analysis and design<br />
software solution consisting of 12 modules, covering all aspects of<br />
design (steel, concrete, and timber) for North America. The software was<br />
renamed Advance Design America in 2008.<br />
<strong>Graitec</strong> inc. offers its know-how and expertise as civil engineering<br />
consultants and as developers of custom software for applications<br />
such as industrial racking, wood structures, and reinforced concrete<br />
design.its mission is to provide a comprehensive software solution for<br />
civil engineers and draftspersons. one such solution is the <strong>Graitec</strong> BiM<br />
format that provides an interface and synchronization between Advance<br />
Design America structural models and the Advance (Steel and Concrete),<br />
modeling systems with no data loss or data re-entry.<br />

Led by the success of Advance Design America (ADA), <strong>Graitec</strong> Inc. was first in the <strong>Graitec</strong> Group in<br />
terms of growth for 2009.<br />
Its partnership with Cecobois to develop more features into the Wood Design module significantly<br />
increased the capabilities of ADA to handle light framing elements (roofs and walls).<br />
