Poster/Creative Writing Contest, Call for Entries<br />
(Green Bay) Area<br />
school children are invited<br />
to participate in <strong>the</strong><br />
16th Annual Community<br />
Celebration <strong>of</strong> Dr. Martin<br />
Lu<strong>the</strong>r King, Jr.’s<br />
Birthday by entering a<br />
poster/creative writing<br />
contest and attending <strong>the</strong><br />
celebration on January<br />
15, 2011.<br />
<strong>The</strong> contest is open to<br />
all school-age children<br />
(K-12) living in or<br />
attending school in<br />
Brown County or attending<br />
an <strong>Oneida</strong> <strong>Nation</strong><br />
school. Students may<br />
submit a poster, essay, or<br />
poem that shares <strong>the</strong><br />
event’s <strong>the</strong>me: Keeping<br />
<strong>the</strong> Dream Alive 365.<br />
Three awards will be<br />
given in each <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> following<br />
grade entry lev-<br />
els: kindergarten through<br />
third grade, fourth<br />
through sixth grade, seventh<br />
through ninth grade,<br />
and tenth through twelfth<br />
grade. First prize in each<br />
category is a Kindle 3G;<br />
second prize, a Kindle<br />
Wireless Reader; and<br />
third prize, a $50 Barnes<br />
and Noble gift card.<br />
Winners will be<br />
announced at <strong>the</strong> Dr.<br />
Martin Lu<strong>the</strong>r King, Jr.<br />
community celebration<br />
on Saturday, January 15,<br />
2011, 10:30 a.m.-noon, at<br />
<strong>the</strong> Nor<strong>the</strong>ast <strong>Wisconsin</strong><br />
Technical College Green<br />
Bay campus. Winners<br />
must be present to collect<br />
awards.<br />

<strong>Oneida</strong> Elder Services<br />
is delighted to announce<br />
<strong>the</strong> availability <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
“Roberta J Kinzhuma<br />
Memorial Scholarship”.<br />
This scholarship is in<br />
honor <strong>of</strong> Roberta<br />
Kinzhuma’s dedication<br />
and hard work that she<br />
put forth towards obtaining<br />
her Bachelors<br />
Degree.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Roberta J.<br />
Kinzhuma Memorial<br />
Scholarship Fund is for<br />
women going back to<br />
school to fur<strong>the</strong>r <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
education and for <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
continued efforts in academic<br />
achievement.<br />
<strong>The</strong> scholarship funds<br />
are generated from fund<br />
raising activities <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>Oneida</strong> Elder Services.<br />
<strong>Oneida</strong> Women are<br />
encouraged to apply for<br />
<strong>the</strong> “Roberta J.<br />
Kinzhuma Memorial<br />
Scholarship”. A $500.00<br />
scholarship will be<br />
awarded directly to an<br />
individual meeting <strong>the</strong><br />
