Attention all members
at Oneida Family Fitness.
During the month of
January we will be offering
free fitness assessments
and wellness profiles
to all current members
and future members.
So start your New Year’s
resolution the correct
way and schedule an
appointment.
Fitness assessments are
a great starting point for a
person to determine their
baseline. Your results
will help you determine
This 5 week stress
management workshop is
designed to educate you
on what creates stress,
and the steps you can
take to minimize the negative
effects stress may
have on you.
The program includes:
• Pre & post personal
stress assessment
• An understanding of
stress
• Identifying the source
of stress
• A look at how you currently
cope with stress
the best exercise régime
for you. Fitness
assessments are
also very helpful
when a client is reassessed
to determine
areas of
improvement.
Assessment results will
help the trainer and client
decide how to alter your
program to maximize
client success. A fitness
assessment measures:
1) Blood pressure and
resting heart rate
2) Weight and body circumferences
3) Body fat % analysis
4) Aerobic fitness
5) Bicep arm strength
6) Back flexibility.
A wellness profile is a
comprehensive evaluation
of your overall
• Learning healthier
ways to manage stress
• How to incorporate
your “mental tools”
into your daily life
This program is offered
FREE to Tribal Members
and Tribal Employees.
Non-members’ fee is
New Year’s Resolutions, a
Time for Rejuvenation
Let’s face it, we’ve all
made New Year’s
Resolutions, but how
many of us have actually
kept them? Maybe the
problem wasn’t that we
lacked the wish for the
resolution, but we failed
to dream big enough.
How do you know if
your resolution is “big”
enough? If you’re working
steadily and enthusiastically
in the direction
of that resolution every
day, it’s big enough.
Free Fitness Assessments and Wellness
Profiles for Month of January
By Brad Sosinsky
Fitness Specialist
But if your resolution
is not compelling
enough to
constantly motivate
you forward no
matter what, then
it’s really more of a
wish and not much
use to you at all.
If that’s the case, consider
making it bigger
and more meaningful.
Promote it from a wish to
a true, life-changing resolution.
New Year’s resolutions
are our opportunity
to dream.
When the obstacles and
challenges are great,
make sure your resolution/dream
is even
greater. In those situations
when you must
push forward, it is essen-
tial to have something
truly meaningful to push
towards.
If you live just to get
through the day, you’ll
end up doing it over and
over again with nothing
much to show for your
efforts. Choose instead
to dream big dreams.
Make big resolutions.
Get real fulfillment from
your time and effort.
You can wish for what
might be nice, and you’ll
probably be disappointed.
Instead, reach deep
inside, truly dream of
how good you know life
can be, and make that
resolution/dream so big
you absolutely must
bring it to life!
health, disease risk and
fitness level. Basic,
health and wellness
information and results
are compiled to generate
a personalized health risk
report. The report provides
you with preventative
lifestyle recommendations,
allowing you to
take a proactive role in
managing your health.
Don’t wait until weeks
or even months later to
decide what your fitness
and health levels are at.
Take advantage of these
two measuring tools and
get your fitness plan
going in the right direction.
Have this be your
beginning step to a great
New Year and a healthier
lifestyle.
