<strong>of</strong> the classical Cypriot dialect. Based on this, SDe addresses the process <strong>of</strong> Helleniz<strong>at</strong>ion in Cyprus and, using archaeological and<br />

linguistic evidence, concludes th<strong>at</strong> the establishment <strong>of</strong> Cypriot speaking Greeks on Cyprus took place early in the lith century<br />

BCE.<br />
