The New England dressage community
has lost a dear friend. On
July 21, Johanna Lombardi passed
away after her long fight with cancer.
Over the past decade, Johanna could
be found competing around New
England and Florida on her Morgan-
Quarterhorse cross, Simon Says. Her
favorite class was the Freestyle in
which she and Simon danced to the
music of Riverdance. She attended
many clinics and educational events
and her company, Kartush Jewelry was

Johanna was a kind and gentle soul
that was always up for a lively discussion
over a glass of wine about her two
passions… horses and dressage.
Johanna is survived by her husband,
Richard, her horse, Simon Says, and
her sheltie, Wings Of Weelock. In lieu
of flowers, her family has asked that
donations be made to the NEDA
Scholarship fund in her name. The
New England Dressage Association
would like to thank her family for this
