ESWELL by Simonsen & Weel 

Simonsen & Weel has developed the ESWELL pressure distributing products in collaboration 

with the leading experts within pressure distribution and pressure sores in Denmark. 

Today ESWELL is used all over the world at hospitals, institutions, and in private 

homes. The pressure distributing effect of the ESWELL mattresses and pads ensures 

optimal blood circulation, comfort, and support for the user. 

Foam 

Specifications 

The ESWELL viscoelastic foam mattresses and pads are typically build up as a 2-layer 

sandwich construction, for optimal pressure distribution. Owing to the pressure relieving 

effect the purpose of the mattresses and pads are to eliminate the risk of pressure 

sores, which can easily occur during long-lasting surgery or hospitalisation. 

Characteristics 

• Prevents pressure sores 

• More environmentally-friendly than other foam materials 

• Meets the requirements for fire resistance 

• Maintains body temperature during surgery 

• Guaranteed for 3 years 

• Latex-free 

Specifications 

The cover is available in various colours and is made of the waterproof and breathing 

Decu-Tex© material, with urethane as the main ingrediant. For optimal hygiene all covers 

are full-welded. The covers are fitted with a plastic zipper which makes it easy to 

remove the cover for cleaning. The cover is folded over the zipper to avoid skin injury 

to the patient or staff before, during and after the operation. 

Characteristics 

• Easy to clean (can be washed at 95°C) 

• Can be spin-dried or tumbled at temperatures up to 130°C 

• Counteracts the formation of bacteria and fungus 

• Full-welded cover with non-slip bottom 

• Latex-free
