Solid-Liquid separation is an integral part of many manufacturing processes<br />
which produce the wide variety of materials used in our everyday lives. <strong>Centrifuges</strong><br />
are often used in industrial applications to isolate solids which are highgrade<br />
products, require intensive washing or are generally difficult to filter.<br />
<strong>GFT</strong> offer you a wide range of laboratory <strong>and</strong> pilot-plant centrifuges of different<br />

applications <strong>and</strong> are flexible enough to be used in small-scale production<br />

Important features associated with our range of <strong>GFT</strong> <strong>Laboratory</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Pilot</strong><br />
<strong>Plant</strong> <strong>Centrifuges</strong> include mobility with the complete centrifuge unit including<br />
all its support systems being skid mounted on a trolley. The skid-mounted centrifuge<br />
is a compact, ready-<strong>for</strong>-connection test unit which can be used in different<br />
locations within your facilities. The ergonomic design <strong>and</strong> the adherence<br />
to cGMP facilitate <strong>and</strong> encourage daily use in a laboratory. The size of the<br />
units enables them to be housed within flexible or rigid containment systems<br />
<strong>and</strong> below plant installed extractor hoods <strong>and</strong> systems.<br />

the centrifuge<br />
The <strong>GFT</strong> Horizontal Peeler <strong>Centrifuges</strong> Type H 250 <strong>and</strong> H 400 are designed to<br />
accommodate the increasingly rigorously regulated environments provided by<br />
the modern laboratories <strong>and</strong> test facilities, pilot plants or small-scale productions.<br />
The centrifuge type H 250 with a basket diameter of 320 mm is a special<br />
design which will even allow you to run the centrifuge with the same filter<br />
cake thickness as on a production unit <strong>and</strong> which will allow you to investigate<br />
the discharge properties of your filter cake.<br />
The benefits <strong>and</strong> features associated with this range of centrifuge include:<br />
Process flexibility<br />
The machines are designed <strong>for</strong> frequent product changeover <strong>and</strong> fast start-up<br />
with new products. The complete centrifuge system is skid mounted on a trolley<br />
<strong>for</strong> facilitate use in different locations. All support systems <strong>and</strong> the control<br />
system can be mounted inside a pressure-tight or a pressure-encapsulated cabinet<br />
mounted on the skid.<br />
GMP-Design<br />
A process chamber which can be cleaned to cGMP st<strong>and</strong>ard can be supplied,<br />
easy to clean product-contacted surfaces, automatic cleaning systems guarantee<br />
to clean the centrifuge safely even if product changeover takes place very<br />
frequently. In addition the centrifuge housing can be opened completely to<br />
allow post process <strong>and</strong> post cleaning inspection of the process area without<br />
disassembly of any machine part.<br />

Per<strong>for</strong>ated basket<br />
The <strong>GFT</strong> vertical centrifuges type V 200-O, V 300-O und V 400-O are designed<br />
<strong>for</strong> basic testing of centrifugal separation techniques. The basic model is equipped<br />
with a per<strong>for</strong>ated basket <strong>and</strong> a filter cloth, to collect the solids separated<br />
from the liquid. The isolated filter cake is then discharged manually out of the<br />
centrifuge basket.<br />
In addition baskets of various designs can be installed to test other centrifugal<br />
separation techniques including sedimentation, classifying <strong>and</strong> clarification.<br />
