Sailor and expert in the nautical
sector, his life has always been
linked to water sports. Founder of
the School of Scuba Underwater
Research Center in Valencia, founder
and former Chairman of the Editorial
Board of the nationally syndicated
underwater magazine “Bubbles”, is
currently President of the Association
of Marinas and Resorts in the
Valencian Community and President
of the Nautical Association in the
Valencian Community, Chairman of
the Port of Denia and Vice President
of the Spanish Federation of the
Association of Ports and Resorts.
From his current position -which
are now fourteen years as General
Director and Captain of Marina
Denia- Gabriel Martinez, directs all
the activities of one of the nautical
touristic infrastructures more dynamic
and complex on the Spanish
Mediterranean coast. Marina Denia
has the possibility to moor with an
excellent level of service up to 410
yachts of lengths between 12 to 60
meters, offering on land a full range
and variety of services. Active 24
hours every day and without a doubt
can say, that these installations
has set a standard as one of the
references in the port sector and in
nautical tourism.
The current economic
situation has led to a
decrease in occupancy
and an increase in late
payments.
How did your professional career
start?
From twelve years old my passion
has been the sea and since I turned
twenty-one my vocation is the
world of business, so therefore, it
