Desde Ovalle hacia el mar, el río Limarí corre por valles muy abiertos, fuerte y<br />
repetidamente aterrazados, en donde se presentan muy buenas tierras de cultivo. Al acercarse<br />
al mar, el valle se estrecha notablente y entrega sus aguas por un cauce de más o menos 500 m<br />
de ancho.<br />
Los cauces incluidos en el estudio son los siguientes:<br />
