1.2.-ANTECEDENTES PRACTICOS. El petróleo extraído generalmente viene acompañado de sedimentos, agua y gas natural, para su separación se debe construir previamente las facilidades de producción o estaciones. En una estación se diseña sistemas de separadores y tanques para separación de los fluidos en sus tres fases, gas, petróleo y agua, en el fluido de producción se forman emulsiones que dependen de muchos factores y condiciones como: - Viscosidad. - Grado API. - Temperatura. - Contenido de sólidos - Volumen de fluidos. - Tipo de levantamiento - Zonas productoras. - Distancia de los pozos a las estaciones. Las emulsiones en los fluidos de producción se las separar con diferentes sistemas y tratamientos, nos centraremos en el tratamiento químico, que ayudara a romper estas emulsiones y facilitaran la separación, la inyección se la realiza directamente a las líneas o tuberías en determinados puntos específicos para una mayor eficiencia de los productos. Para la instalación de un sistema de químicos es necesario tener las siguientes facilidades: energía eléctrica, una bomba de desplazamiento positivo, válvulas, 5
