A great and
unforgettable
experience
The 5 th National Model of
European Parliament (MEP)
meeting was held in Madrid for
four days from 28 th until 31 st of
January. Jéssica Moreno, Lorena
Marín, Javier Meléndez,
Silvia Guallar and me, Inés Orrios,
took part in “MEP”.
On Friday 28th, we took
the AVE at 8 o’clock. The journey
was lovely and we took
photos, listened to music,
talked… We also revised our
English because we had an
English exam that evening.
When we arrived at Atocha,
we took two taxis to the
European Parliament headquarters,
and we had our identifying
cards and briefcases full
of things to work together with
a very good and delicious
breakfast. There we met the
other Aragonese delegation
participants.
Then we went to the
Senate Hall by coach. First of
all, people of the organization
explained the way of working.
Later, some students read an
opening speech. I had to write
and read the Aragonese delegation’s
speech. I was nervous
because I had to go up to the
stand to read it but finally everything
went ok.
Then, we went to
Buitrago de Lozoya by coach.
where we began to work in our
commissions. We discussed
our ideas and we made several
proposals following a protocol.
We worked very hard
everyday, especially on Saturday.
From Sunday morning till
Monday midday, the eight
commissions put forward their
proposals. We worked a lot,
we went out in Buitrago and
we went shopping in Madrid
too.
The last night, we went
to a disco where we danced
and laughed a lot. Teachers
also came with us. On Monday
evening, we said goodbye
sadly. Now we want to
meet each other again. We
are infected by “VIRUS MEP”
and will never forget such a
good experience!.
