1 Safety instructions<br />
1.4 Regarding the hot<br />
steam<br />
- Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.<br />
Make sure that only the water tank and the holder<br />
body for the water tank come into contact with water.<br />
Keep other parts of the appliance away from rain and<br />
moisture.<br />
- Only operate the appliance if the electrical voltage<br />
stated on the type plate beneath the appliance<br />
matches the voltage on your socket. Wrong voltage<br />
can destroy the appliance.<br />
The appliance produces hot steam for cleaning with a<br />
temperature of approx. 100 °C. Various hazards are<br />
associated with the hot steam. Therefore:<br />
Never direct the steam jet at persons or animals. There<br />
is a danger of scalding.<br />
Never direct the steam jet at electrical appliances, plug<br />
sockets, etc. There is a risk of electric shock.<br />
Do not use the appliance to clean containers that are<br />
filled with water, other liquids or loose substances. Hot<br />
liquid or particles could be thrown out.<br />
1.5 Regarding children Never leave the appliance unattended, and do not use<br />
it if children or persons who cannot assess the risks are<br />
nearby.<br />
People (including children) who are unable to safely<br />
operate the appliance on account of their physical, sensory<br />
or mental abilities or their lack of experience or knowledge<br />
should only use this appliance under surveillance or<br />
instruction of a responsible person. Store it so it is<br />
inaccessible.<br />
Packing material must not be used to play with. There<br />
is a danger of suffocation.<br />
