Acción recreada en potencia en el contexto
de la exposición. En el centro de la sala,
una mesa llena de objetos de vidrio sobre
un mantel con el que sería imposible
realizar con éxito el truco que dio origen a
la acción. En la pared, las instrucciones para
realizar el truco.
La acción, que se desarrolló el 15 de abril
de 2011 en Gallery 136 de Nueva York,
consistió en retirar el mantel de una mesa
llena de vidrios. Aludía, según las palabras
del autor, a “un truco popular de magia que
consiste en retirar el mantel de una mesa
dejando los platos en ella. Un truco que se
basa en la inercia”.

Action potentially recreated in the context
of the exhibition. In the middle of the
gallery is a table with so many glass objects
on a cloth that it would be impossible
to successfully reproduce the trick that
inspired the action. On the wall are
instructions for performing the trick.
Performed on 15 April 2011 at Gallery 136 in
New York, the action consisted in pulling the
cloth out from underneath the glass objects
on a table. The author described it as a
reference to “a popular magic trick which
consists in pulling the cloth from a table
while leaving the dishes in place. The trick is
based on inertia.”
