4.3 Storage of appliance<br />
The appliance has a loop 10<br />
which allows it to be hung up.<br />
TIP: Hang up the appliance so<br />
that the spacers 2 are against<br />
the wall; this will stop the appliance<br />
getting scratched.<br />
5 Cleaning and Care<br />
To ensure the proper functioning and full performance<br />
of the <strong>Curl</strong> <strong>Styler</strong>, you should clean the appliance<br />
at regular intervals. The <strong>Curl</strong> <strong>Styler</strong> should<br />
always be protected from dust, dirt and lint.<br />
IMPORTANT: The power plug of the appliance must<br />
always be disconnected before cleaning.<br />
5.1 Cleaning appliance<br />
– Occasionally wipe the appliance with a slightly<br />
damp cloth and then rub dry.<br />
5.2 Cleaning round brushes<br />
The round brushes are cleaned as required.<br />
– Detach the round brush from the appliance (see<br />
page 26).<br />
– Make sure that the bristles of the round brushes<br />
do not get bent. Retract the bristles of the small<br />
and medium-sized round brush to clean the<br />
metal tube.<br />
– Clean the accessories with warm water and a little<br />
detergent.<br />
– Then rinse with clean water and dry well.<br />
6 What to do when ...<br />
... the appliance switches itself off?<br />
– The overheat protection has tripped. Make<br />
sure that the suction grille is not covered up<br />
during usage.<br />
Move the switch 8 to “0” and wait a few minutes.<br />
Then switch the appliance back on.<br />
