ovulaciones. 8 En el presente trabajo se discuten
los factores relacionados con la estacionalidad
reproductiva de la cabra.
EJE HIPOTÁLAMO-HIPÓFISIS-GÓNADA
En la temporada reproductiva, la hembra presenta
ciclos estrales sucesivamente mientras no ocurra
EFECTO DEL FOTOPERIODO SOBRE LA
ESTACIONALIDAD REPRODUCTIVA, A
TRAVÉS DE LA SECRECIÓN DE
MELATONINA
período anovulatorio no cíclico: anestro. 58
cabras Cashmere Australianas a 20º 48’ S
la región y otro con fotoperiodo invertido;
tropical presentaron actividad reproductiva
5 . Por lo tanto, el macho
sexualmente activo es la limitante para la
inducción de ciclos estrales en cabras en anestro;
resultados similares han encontrado otros
autores. 87-91
julio a diciembre.
templada manifiestan estacionalidad reproductiva,
Gámez-Vázquez HG, Vera-Ávila H. Reproductive seasonality in goats. The goats exhibit reproductive
seasonality, presents ovarian activity during short days and anoestrus in long days; the process is throughout
pineal melatonin secretion. Seasonality is stronger in the hemispheres than in tropical zones. A sexually active
buck can produce estrus stimulation and ovulation induction during anestrous. This review focuses in the goat
proestro, estro, metaestro y anestro.
Proestro
Estro
progesterona registra valores inferiores a 1 ng/ml.
leche para el amamantamiento de los cachorros;
las hembras no gestantes pueden desarrollar
seudogestación y por consiguiente cuidar y
amamantar a cachorros ajenos. 62 Las perras con
seudogestación presentan desarrollo de la glándula
mamaria con producción de leche. 63
no se ha encontrado su producción en los ovarios;
no gestantes.
luteolisis prematura. La concentración sanguínea
de prolactina permanece baja durante el anestro;
ABSTRACT
Petrocelli-Rodríguez LE, de la Colina-Flores F, Escobar-Medina FJ. Bovine fetal allometric growth.
Several allometric growth rates were estimated for bovine fetuses. Fore limbs and hind limbs lengths as well
as fore limbs and hind shin diameters showed fastest allometric growth rates compared to fetal body lengths
(from the occipital crest to the roof of the tail). Neck perimeter and snout diameter were isometric to the body
length, and thoracic perimeter and the length from the tip of the nose to the forehead showed a lower
allometric growth rate. Placentome size was also measured and they were larger the farther they were from
the cervix. The results obtained in this study indicated a faster growth rates for the limbs compared to body
length, for their lengths as well as for their diameters. On the contrary, thoracic perimeter and head size
showed lower growth rate, perhaps to allow the fetus to go along the reproductive tract during parturition.
y testigo; aunque no hubo diferencia significativa
En los machos, el tratamiento redujo el
crecimiento testicular, los cerdos androgenizados
presentaron menor tamaño testicular que los del
grupo testigo (P

hormona luteinizante y testosterona se realizan en
forma paralela al crecimiento testicular en los
cerdos antes y después del nacimiento. 25 La
implantación intracerebral directa de testosterona
