De acuerdo con las estadísticas de la Cámara de Comercio de <strong>La</strong> <strong>Guajira</strong>,<br />
en el año 2010 se constituyeron 205 empresas, 22 menos que en 2009<br />
y los sectores de la economía que más inversión de capital tuvieron en<br />
estos años fueron: comercio, construcción y el sector servicios, que aportan<br />
al desarrollo económico de la región pero no en la dinámica que se<br />
requiere para superar los rezagos en materia de competitividad.<br />
