VALE DO LOBO ROYAL GOLF
Vale do Lobo Golf Resort cuenta con dos campos de golf excepcionales
retos: el real y los campos de golf del océano, con base en
los conceptos originales de los legendarios Sir Henry Cotton y re-desarrollado
por el renombrado arquitecto de campos de golf de América,
Rocky Roquemore. Vale do características del Lobo Royal Golf Course
incluye la casi isla verde de la novena Par3 y el famoso 16 de par 3 con
un acantilado, el arrastre - una de las imágenes de golf más famosos
del mundo, que se ha convertido en el verdadero símbolo del golf en el
Algarve. Para jugar este hoyo desde el tee de campeonato, se necesita
un golpe de 218 metros sobre los espectaculares acantilados para
llegar al green ■
Vale do Lobo Golf Resort is home to two exceptional golfing challenges:
the Royal and the Ocean golf courses, based on original concepts by the legendary Sir Henry Cotton and re-developed by
renowned American golf course architect, Rocky Roquemore. Vale do Lobo Royal Golf Course's features include the almost island
green of the Par3 9th and the famous 16th, Par 3 with cliff-top carryover - one of the most celebrated golfing images in the world,
which has become the veritable symbol of golf in the Algarve. To play this hole from the championship tee, one needs a 218 metres
stroke over the spectacular cliffs to reach the green ■
QUINTA DO LAGO NORTH GOLF
El Quinta do Lago North Golf Course fue diseñado por varios arquitectos.
William Mitchell fue el responsable de los hoyos 1 a 5 y 15 a
18, mientras que Joseph Lee y Rocky Roquemore diseñaron el curso
del agujero de 6 a 14. El North Golf Course ofrece sin embargo, muy
diferentes desafíos. El Quinta do Lago Campo Norte cuenta con 4 magníficas
Par 5 agujeros. El Par 4 son generalmente patas de perro, con la
excepción de los agujeros 10 y 13. Los hoyos par 3 son influenciadas
por el viento que requiere tiros muy precisos. En los hoyos 13 y 18 lagos
hacen un buen puntaje bastante difícil ■
The Quinta do Lago North Golf Course was designed by several
architects. William Mitchell was responsible for holes 1 to 5 and 15
to 18, while Joseph Lee and Rocky Roquemore designed the course
from hole 6 to 14. The North Golf Course offers however, very different
challenges. The Quinta do Lago North Course has 4 magnificent Par 5
holes. The Par 4 are generally doglegs, with the exception of holes 10 and 13. The Par 3 holes are influenced by the wind requiring
very precise shots. In holes 13 and 18 lakes make a good score quite difficult ■
QUINTA DO LAGO GOLF SUR
El Quinta do Lago Sur Campo de golf sigue siendo el más famoso.
Este campo de golf, diseñado por William Mitchell e inaugurado en
1974, se hizo mundialmente conocida después de albergar el Open de
Portugal en 8 ocasiones - las últimas fechas fueron en 1988, 1989, 1990
y 2001. El Quinta do Lago Sur requiere precisión con problemas a la
espera de un tiro miss-hit. El jugador tiene se verán favorecidas varias
maneras de acercarse a los verdes y los pegadores largos. Sin embargo,
cada hoyo tiene un camino fácil y el jugador que ve esto, y tiene la
habilidad para seguir la intención del diseñador, y producir cifras por
debajo del par ■
The Quinta do Lago South Golf Course is still the most famous. This golf course, designed by William Mitchell and inaugurated in
1974, became world known after hosting the Portuguese Open on 8 occasions - the latest dates were in 1988, 1989, 1990 and
2001. The Quinta do Lago South requires accuracy with trouble waiting for a miss-hit shot. The player has several ways to approach
greens and long hitters will be favoured. However, each hole has one easy route and the player who sees this, and has the skill to
follow the designer's intention, and produce sub-par figures ■
