Los filtros separador<strong>es</strong> <strong>de</strong> agua y combustible <strong>es</strong>tán<br />

catalogados según su capacidad para filtar las impurezas que<br />

se mi<strong>de</strong>n en micras.Un filtro marino <strong>de</strong> 2 micras purificará el<br />

combustible más que uno <strong>de</strong> 28 micras pero no <strong>de</strong>jará pasar<br />

tanta cantidad <strong>de</strong> combustible. También se ensuciará ant<strong>es</strong> el <strong>de</strong><br />

2 micras lo que le hará más limitado cuando se utilice para un<br />

motor a 4 tiempos pués efectuará la separación <strong>de</strong>l aceite en<br />

dos tiempos. Se tendrá que cambiar con más frecuencia. El filtro<br />

<strong>de</strong> 28 micras <strong>es</strong> el más común en la industria náutica tanto para<br />

motor<strong>es</strong> <strong>de</strong> 4 como <strong>de</strong> 2 tiempos. Los filtros <strong>de</strong> GLM <strong>de</strong> 10 micras<br />

Water/Fuel Separators are categorized by their capacity to<br />

than a 28 micron filter but will be more r<strong>es</strong>trictive to fuel flow.<br />

The 2 micron filter will also become dirty sooner and will need<br />

replacement more often. A 2 micron fuel filter is generally too<br />

r<strong>es</strong>trictive for the average four stroke inboard engine and may<br />

separate the<br />

oil from the fuel in two stroke outboard engin<strong>es</strong>.<br />

The 28 micron filter is the most common size fuel filter in<br />

the marine industry and is the standard replacement filter for all<br />

two stroke and four stroke marine engin<strong>es</strong>.<br />

The GLM 10 micron filter will provi<strong>de</strong> exceptional filtering<br />

and only mo<strong>de</strong>rate fuel pr<strong>es</strong>sure loss. It will not separate the oil<br />

from the gasoline on a two stroke outboard equipped boat.<br />
