GUADALUPE LOAEZA EN
MARYMOUNT
El jueves 13 de septiembre el Colegio Marymount Cuernavaca,
como parte de las celebraciones de su quincuagésimo aniversario
invitó a la escritora Guadalupe Loaeza a compartir su experiencia
de vida como escritora y periodista con los jóvenes y padres de
familia de esta comunidad.

DRIVE FOR THE PARRES
GENERAL HOSPITAL
More than 205 bags of clothing and shoes were donated
by the families and staff to the volunteers of
Hospital “Parres” to help meet the basic needs of
the patients. Many thanks to all who gave to the
clothing drive.
La conferencia de Guadalupe Loaeza fue muy interesante y motivante
para los jóvenes, ya que les compartió su visión de la vida
y la importancia de ser tenaces en la defensa de sus ideas y el
cumplimiento de sus proyectos para cristalizar sus metas.

SOCIAL SERVICE FAIR,
A CONNECTION FOR SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES
A CUP OF COFFEE, A TORTA
AND A SMILE
Marymount’s annual Social Service Fair gave the high
school students the opportunity to learn about a variety
of service programs in Morelos which include
hospitals, orphanages, rest homes for the elderly
and institutions for young people with special
abilities. One of the newer projects is the Fundación
Mirochmick that works with dogs to offer therapy for
children with special abilities. The high school students
will begin their yearly service choosing from more than
20 institutions for those less fortunate and they will
definitely learn a great deal from these experiences.
It’s not easy waiting outside the emergency room for all hours
worrying about loved ones, but this is the situation that many
people suffer at the Parres General Hospital. Volunteer staff,
family members as well as some students of the senior class are
serving coffee and food as well as providing companionship and
a smile.
This ongoing service project (the idea of Mrs. Monica Cardona)
will take place on the third Thursday of every month from 7
to 9 p.m. during the school term. On September 20, 14 volunteers
served over 100 family members. For anyone interested
in donating supplies or time to serve, please notify Miss Renée
