Esto creabaun ámbito isomórfico en la definición derealidad. Este escrito parte de laperspectiva crítica que sustituye elprincipio de la identidad, generador deisomorfismos, por el de la diferencia. Estonos sitúa en una perspectivaconstructivista que asume la operatividadde la teoría social como mecanismo decomunicación en los sistemas sociales,que integra el tiempo como la variablefundamental de las descripciones de lassociedades y que realiza una sustituciónepistemológica compleja del principio deidentidad y unicidad por el de diferencia, lapluralidad y la recursividad.La construcción de realidad por losmecanismos de los imaginarios socialesparte de la distinción entre relevancias yopacidades. ¿De dónde surge estadistinción? Proviene precisamente delprograma teórico constructivista. Se tratade convertir lo que se nos presenta comoevidencia en algo observable y por tantocontingente.Establecemos, por tanto, las diferenciasentre los programas teóricos de tipoexclusivo, aquellos que definen la realidadcomo única, y programas teóricosinclusivos, aquellos que permiten ladefinición de más de una realidad.Este programa de construcción derealidad parte de la necesidad de lossistemas funcionalmente diferenciados deautodescribirse y de referirse los ámbitospropios de la comunicación sistémicacomo “realidades”. El código que se utilizapara semejante operación es el de ladistinción de relevancias y opacidades. Loprioritario es definir la diferencia comobase de construcción de la realidad, deahí que los sistemas se autodescriban conJuan-Luis Pintos de Cea-NaharroABSTRACTThe illustrated theory about knowledge,under the “ontological monotheism”(unique reality) assumption, setcontinuance between the individual andthe object, cause and effect, knowledgeand ignorance. This created an isomorphicbackground on defining reality. This writingstarts from the critical perspective thatreplaces the identity principle, producer ofisomorphisms, by that of the difference.This leads us into a constructivistperspective that assumes the social theoryoperativeness as a communicationsmechanism in social systems, integratingtime as the basic variable of societydescriptions, and that makes a complexepistemological substitution of the identityand unity principle for that of difference,plurality and resourcefulness.Construction of reality by means ofsocial imagery mechanisms starts fromdistinguishing relevance and opacity.Where does this distinction come from? Itarises precisely from the constructivisttheoretical program. It deals with turningwhat appears as evidence into somethingobservable, and therefore contingent.Hence, we set the differences betweenexclusive theoretical type programs, thatdefine reality as unique, and inclusivetheoretical programs, that admit to definemore than one reality.This reality construction program startsfrom the need of functionally differentiatedsystems to describe themselves and referto the real settings of systemiccommunication as “realities”. The codeused for such and operation is that ofrelevance and opacity distinction. Thepriority is to define the difference as thebasis for reality construction, as aconsequence the systems describethemselves by functions that meet thespecific needs of the individuals set in thesystem’s surroundings.
