1.0 GENERAL COMMENTS1.1 WarningsThis manual is designed to provide you with all the necessary information to allow correctinstallation and maintenance of the instrument to provide optimum results and the maximumoperational lifetime.For this reason it is important to read and follow the instructions contained in this manual as theyprovide all the steps necessary to correctly install and maintain your equipment♦♦Please keep this manual in a safe place for future consultation.Before attempting to install the instrument please check the box contains everything listedin the table of contents. This instrument should only be installed and operated by acompetent person.♦ Check that all electrical connections to be made are compatible with the data on thepump’s label.♦ Do not operate with bare hands and feet.♦ Install the instrument in a sheltered position away from external exposure.♦ In the case of malfunction, switch off the instrument and consult your dealer or Aqua’stechnical department for advice on repair.♦ In order to ensure safe and correct operation only original Aqua spares should be used.Aqua Spa. will not accept any responsibility for malfunction of the equipment due to tampering orthe use of non-original spares.The unit should comply with electrical regulations in force in the country where it is installed.The instrument may not be subjected to ambient temperatures over 45 o C. or less than 0 o C1.2 Design standardOur pumps are built according to the actual general directives endowed with CE mark inconformitywith the following European directives:♦♦♦N° 89/336/CEE regarding “electromagnetic compatibility”N° 73/23/CEE regarding “low voltages”, as also the subsequent modification N°93/68/CEEN° 2002/95/CE, 2002/96/CE, 2003/108/CE “ RoHs and WEEE directiveTo give a long working life and for this instrument to continue to comply with the above, it isnecessary to ensure the procedures contained in this manual are rigorously applied.Aqua Spa. will not accept any responsibility where this instrument is not installed ormaintained by skilled personnel.2.0 TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS2.1 General rulesInstall the pump♦ on a vertical surface ( +/- 15 o ). Where it is required to install on a horizontal surface theoptional tank / shelf mount bracket should be used.♦ in a dry area and away from sources of heat. The ambient temperature must be between0 o C and 45 o C.♦ in a well ventilated area with adequate access for maintenance.♦ at a suitable height above the chemical storage tank, but never more than 1.5 metres. Ifthe injection point is below the level of the chemical then use an injection valve or antisiphonvalve.♦ Do not install the pump where it may be subject to the fumes from liquids unlessarrangements are made to install in a hermetically sealed enclosure..2.2 Electrical characteristicsPower supply: 230 VAC 50/60 HZ2.3 Electric connectionBefore installation ensure that the supply is adequately earthed and is fitted with a suitablysensitive circuit breaker .
