“Existen artistas versátiles y existen artistas que han vivido. Stella Brieva
pertenece a este último grupo; el de aquellos que logran plasmar y transmitir
vivencias e involucrar al espectador en una comunión pocas veces vista. Sus
rostros vívidos, sus ojos ávidos y su humor que a veces es amor acompañan la
obra de esta prolífera pintora. Desde su Santa Fe natal a su nomadismo eterno
por donde su arte la lleve, supo trazar un relato que atrapa y contiene un tácito
“continuará”. Dan ganas de ver lo próximo. Ver lo que viene, con o sin red, pero
siempre vibrante. Su manejo del color y la profundidad de sus texturas la sitúan
a orillas de todo, bastante lejos de conformismos, de suposiciones y de caminos
andados. Tomar riesgos en el arte es a veces más difícil que en la vida misma. Y
ella lo sabe. Dueña de una generosidad en sus telas, no se queda con nada a la
hora de expresarse. En su prolífera carrera supo exponer en innumerables
muestras y coquetear con el muralismo y la intervención urbana. El presente la
encuentra entre la docencia y la creación como disciplina eterna. Sin duda,
Stella Brieva es una artista feliz.”

“There are versatile artists, and there are those who have experienced life. Stella
Brieva belongs to the last group; to the one in which they manage to show and
transmit life experiences and involve the audience in a not very often seen
communion. Her vivid faces, her eager eyes and her sense of humour, which is
sometimes love, go along her works. From her native Santa Fe to her eternal
nomadism, she learnt to take her art wherever it takes her. This artist learnt to
write a tale that catches the eye and has a tacit “to be-continued” story. It really
tempts you to see the next step. To see what´s coming, with or without a net,
always vibrant. The way she uses colours and the depth of her textures, place
her far beyond everything, far away from conformism, suppositions and already
followed paths. Owner of a deep generosity, Stella does not keep anything for
herself when it is time to express her visión. All along her prolific carree, she
has learnt to exhibit in an innumerable amount of exhibitions and flirt with
muralism and street art. At present, she´s wading through teaching and
