Meeting. The <strong>Texas</strong> <strong>Department</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>Transportation</strong> (TxDOT) welcomes you.<br />
Today's Public Meeting is about <strong>the</strong><br />
Spur 1966 Project, a proposed new<br />
connection between Schuster Avenue on<br />
<strong>the</strong> UTEP campus and Paisano Drive via a<br />
bridge over I-<strong>10</strong>. The proposed project is<br />
dedicated <strong>to</strong> improving connectivity and<br />
mobility.<br />
The purpose <strong>of</strong> this meeting is <strong>to</strong> provide<br />
an opportunity for you <strong>to</strong> review and<br />
comment on <strong>the</strong> proposed project.<br />

The proposed Spur 1966 project<br />
is a new connection between<br />
Schuster Avenue on <strong>the</strong> UTEP<br />
campus and Paisano Drive via a<br />
bridge over I-<strong>10</strong>. The project<br />
length is approximately 0.7 miles.<br />
The proposed project would<br />
improve connections and traffic<br />
flow between <strong>the</strong> UTEP Campus,<br />
surrounding medical facilities,<br />
Sunset Heights and Kern Place<br />
neighborhoods, and Mesa Street<br />
with Paisano Drive. It also creates<br />
an additional route <strong>to</strong> and from <strong>the</strong><br />
down<strong>to</strong>wn area.<br />
The proposed project will eliminate<br />
<strong>the</strong> need for UTEP-bound traffic <strong>to</strong><br />
cut through <strong>the</strong> adjacent Sunset<br />
Heights neighborhood <strong>to</strong> access<br />
<strong>the</strong> UTEP facility.<br />
Vehicular, pedestrian and bicycle<br />
traffic will be accommodated by<br />
<strong>the</strong> new Spur 1966 connection.<br />

El proyec<strong>to</strong> propues<strong>to</strong> Spur 1966<br />
es una conexión nueva entre la<br />
Avenida Schuster en el campus de<br />
UTEP y la Calle Paisano a través de<br />

El proyec<strong>to</strong> tiene una longitud de<br />
