En esta colección de otoño-invierno, Westwood optó por utilizar una textura visual comopunto de tensión, es decir, hasta que parte del conjunto va a ir el ojo del espectador. Por lotanto, utilizó como estampa una pintura de François Boucher, del siglo XVIII, "Daphnis &Chloe", del año 1743. Esta estampa no solo está presente en la mayoría de las prendas, sinoque también en accesorios, como por ejemplo, en pañuelos, corbatas y carteras.Una característicaprominente de ladiseñadora británica,es recurrir al pasado ymezclar suscolecciones actualescon reminiscencias asus estéticasanteriores, pero lasajusta a lo que estápasando en elmomento. De estamanera, nunca pierdela contemporaneidadni su identidad comodiseñadora. Así pues,lo característico deella, son lasreferencias al artehistórico, las pinturasvictorianas; los corsésestampados con estasmismas; vestidosdrapeados;plataformas altas de22 centímetros; lasastrería inglesa; eltartán;lasuperposición deprendas; y lossombreros de pirataprovenientes de sucolección “Pirate”,1981. En efecto, estaparticularidad deacudir al pasado nosólo está presente ensus diseños, sino quetambién en laproducción de estacolección.Se puede observar,que la escenografíadel lookbook es unambiente en el cuallas paredes están rotasy despintadas concolores saturados,pero con marcostallados, dorados yblancos. Asimismo,en varias de lasfotografías, se puedeobservar agujeros ycañerías en el suelo.Incluso, el maquillajey el peinado deciertos modelos, porejemplo las mejillascoloradas y los rulos,hacen referencia a laépoca victoriana deMaría Antonieta y ala pintura “Daphnis &Chloe”. Además, enlas fotografías seintegró un filtrosaturado, también,haciendo alusión alpasado y a lo antiguo.De modo que, sepuede ver el conceptoromántico de lacolección y cómo lorelaciona en sutotalidad.
