While studying the history of
the Bauhaus, graphic designer Tomi
Leppänen found inspiration in surprising
technology: Textile designer Anni Albers
had once done pattern experiments on
her textiles with a typewriter.
Inspired by this, Tomi dug a
Japanese Student typewriter from the
attic. The result is a collection of fresh
typographic patterns, a minimalist and
playful carpet collection. The dots and
lines produced with the typewriter form
abstract characters and landscapes for
the rugs.

This collection designed for Mum's
is Tomi Leppänen's first rug collection.
The Typewriter Collection is made of
100% recycled PET plastic and the
Typewriter Collection 2 is made of Eco
Luxury Wool and Recycled Cotton.
