1. General Information
Assembly and installation should only be
carried out by qualified personnel!
1.1 Uses
The circulating pump is used to transport liquids in
warm water heating systems.
Under no circumstances may the pump come in
contact with drinking water or foodstuffs.
1.2 Product data
1.2.1 Key
TOP-E 30/1-7
Heating circulating pumps,
wet runner motors
ED ➝ Double pump with
electronic module
EV ➝ with built-in isolating valve
EV ➝ and electronic module
level, adjustable nominal pump lift 1 to 7 m
Hmin: 1 m, Hmax: 7 m
1.2.2 Connection and output data
– Flow media:
– Heating water acc. to VDI 2035.
– Water glycol mixtures containing up to 50 % glycol.
Should glycol be added to the liquid, the flow
data must be adapted to correspond to the
higher viscosity. Only brand products with anticorrosion
inhibitors should be used. The manufacturer’s
instructions must always be strictly
adhered to.
– If another medium is to be used, it must be
cleared by Wilo.
– Temperature range of the flow medium: +20 °C to
+110°C.
– Max. ambient temperature: 40 °C.
– In order to avoid the build up of condensation water,
the temperature of the room must be lower the
temperature of the flow medium.
– Max. operating pressure of the pump: see rating
plate.
– Min. supply pressure at the air intake in order to
avoid cavity noises (at max. water temperature T max):
Tmax R1 R1& DN 40 (32) DN 50 DN 65 DN 80 DN 100
1+50°C 0.05 bar 0.3 bar
1+95°C 0.5 bar 1.0 bar
+110°C 1.1 bar 1.6 bar
These values are valid up to a height of 300 m
above sea level. For situations above this height
add 0.01 bar for every additional 100 m.
– system of protection IP 43.
– Connection to 1~230 V, 50 Hz in accordance with
IEC 38.
– When ordering spare parts, please give all the information
on the pump/motor rating plate.
2. Safety
These instructions contain important information which
must be followed when installing and operating the
pump. It is therefore imperative that they be read by
both the installer and the operator before the pump is
installed or started up.
Both the general safety points in this section and the
more specific safety points in the following sections
should be noted.
2.1 Instruction symbols in this operating manual
Safety precautions in these operating instructions
which, if not followed, could cause personal injury are
indicated by the symbol:
Safety precautions warning of danger due to electricity
are indicated by the symbol
The following symbol is used to indicate that by ignoring
the relevant safety instructions, damage could be
caused to the pump/machinery and its functions:
ATTENTION!
2.2 Staff training
The personnel installing the pump must have the
appropriate qualifications for this work.
