INSTRUCTIONS FOR VERTICaL CaRRYING POSITIONS
GENERaL INFORMaTION
IIb
I. Spread-squat position: By opening and closing
the lower zipper, the seat width can be adjusted.
Very small children will already sit comfortably in
the required “spread-squat position” without any
adjustments to the seat area. For older children, the
seat area can be adjusted by opening the zipper over
the entire length. Children from approx. 10 months of
age should sit in the narrowest position, thus allowing
for more leg room and freedom of movement.
IMPORTaNT: IT IS MORE IMPORTAnT THAT THE
CHIlD IS SITTInG In A SQuATTInG POSITIOn
RATHER THAn A SPREADInG POSITIOn.
II. Height adjustment: The waist belt has the function
of a height adjustment system. (a) To carry smaller
children, the belt should be placed around the waist,
allowing the child to sit at a higher position. (b) For
larger children the belt should be placed around the
hips. The optimum sitting position is reached when
the carrying person can touch the child´s head with
the lips and should be adjusted accordingly.
