Dear adventure Traveller, 

since the 2010 launch of silversea expeditions, i have discovered some of the most 

remote corners of the planet. i have roamed with polar bears in the icy stretches of 

the svalbard archipelago, watched voodoo rituals in remote villages in Toga, and 

taken Zodiacs across glassy bays in antarctica with seals following in my wake. But 

until now one of the most fascinating ecosystems on the planet has remained outside 

my purview: the dramatic landscapes and wondrously unique wildlife of the remote 

galapagos islands. 

in october 2013, the beautiful new Silver Galapagos will begin operating two 7-day 

itineraries in Darwin’s “living laboratory of evolution.” led by an experienced 

expedition team, guests will hike through lava fields, swim in tidal lagoons and Zodiac 

across smooth waters, encountering a plethora of exotic wildlife such as iguanas, giant 

tortoises, blue-footed boobies, penguins and sun-bathing sea lions curiously unafraid 

of humans. The only luxury expedition ship sailing throughout these islands yearround, 

Silver Galapagos features 50 ocean-view suites, many with private balconies, 

gourmet cuisine and the personalised service of a butler. 

Silver Explorer will also sail to new horizons in 2014. on an 11-day expedition to the 

volcanic islands of Japan and the Marianas, she’ll visit shores accessible only by sea, 

encountering fascinating cultures and viewing wildlife that is simply extraordinary. 

also new are the paradise islands of Polynesia including Fiji, stunning Bora Bora, the

The year begins with Silver Explorer’s hugely popular antarctic program, followed by

and reserves the right to substitute charter flights for scheduled service and scheduled service for charter flights. airfares may be revised 

upwards or downwards at any time prior to flight confirmation, are limited to certain classes of service as specified by each airline partner 

contract, are subject to availability, and do not include airline baggage fees. Business and First Class upgrades are guaranteed on the 

international/transoceanic flights only and subject to availability of select carriers. silversea reserves the right to change inclusive items 

as needed including private vs. group transfer, and any other item that may be designated as part of the air Programme package. in 

providing air arrangements, silversea acts only as an agent on the guest’s behalf and does not operate, control or supervise any airline 

and will not be held responsible for carriers failing to meet schedules whether or not air schedules/tickets were issued by silversea. Final 

payment and full passport details are due prior to ticket issuance and release of documents. silversea reserves the right to modify the 

silver sky air Programme procedures and fees at any time without notice. guests are strongly advised to purchase travel insurance.

additional charge of $490 per person. The Silver Galapagos air Package includes economy Class air service (business class is not available) 

from Quito to Baltra and return to guayaquil, plus transfers in galapagos between the airport/pier. a park entrance fee of $100 and 

immigration fee of $10 are additional. a silversea host will meet guests in Quito airport to assist them with the airline check-in process, 

and upon arrival in galapagos our hosts will welcome guests and guide them through the immigration and park entrance process and 

direct to waiting ground transportation.
