5.9. Adjusting the rear suspension (F4 R)<br />

WARNING: The high temperature of the exhaust pipes can cause burns. Before adjusting the<br />

rear suspension, shut off the engine and wait until the exhaust pipes have thoroughly cooled.<br />

WARNING: The rear shock absorber contains highly compressed gas. Do not try to open or<br />

disassemble it in any way.<br />

CAUTION: When you estimate the rear suspension settings, never push or pull in any way<br />

on the exhaust mufflers. They would be certainly damaged.<br />

NOTE: At the moment of delivery of the motorcycle, the rear suspension is adjusted in the<br />

standard configuration (see enclosed table).<br />

NOTE: The adjustment of the suspensions must be preferably performed with the fuel tank<br />

full.<br />
