Xelius : technologie carbone gagnante<br />
Le cadre <strong>Lapierre</strong> Xelius résulte d’une technologie carbone monocoque<br />
exclusive en fibre unidirectionnelle HM et VHM et d’un nouveau procédé de<br />
fabrication. Les cadres monocoques <strong>Lapierre</strong> Xelius ® sont fabriqués à l’aide<br />
de mandrins en silicone qui épousent les formes précises des parois internes<br />
du cadre. Ce procédé permet d’homogénéiser la pression appliquée lors du<br />
moulage pour une finition intérieure parfaitement lisse et une meilleure cohésion<br />
des couches de carbone. Les zones sensibles (la douille de direction et le<br />
boîtier de pédalier) sont ainsi renforcées sans rajouter de matière et donc de<br />
poids. Le résultat est un cadre monocoque encore plus léger et performant.<br />

The <strong>Lapierre</strong> Xelius frame is made using an exclusive monocoque carbon<br />
technology and HM and VHM unidirectional carbon fibers. Silicone mandrels<br />
are pre-molded to have the exact shape of the inside of the frame. This means<br />
that there is unified pressure applied to the entire frame during the heating<br />
and molding stage, resulting in a perfectly smooth finish and therefore better<br />
adhesion between the carbon layers. Sensitive zones, such as the headtube<br />
and bottom bracket, don’t require extra layers, which means a lighter and<br />
stronger frame.<br />
