ACTIVITÉS 2010-2011
En 2010-2011 les programmes d’échanges, rencontres, formations,
études et recherches ont permis de remplir les missions de l’association.
Le séminaire annuel des Young Leaders s’est tenu à Marseille du 21
au 26 septembre avec quarante participants.
Environ cinquante rencontres, ont permis à des personnalités
françaises et américaines de partager leurs expériences
et leur vision dans des domaines très variés. Parmi
les événements les plus marquants, nous retiendrons un dîner
en l’honneur de Bart Gordon (Président de la Commission
Science et Technologie de la Chambre des Représentants),
une conférence-débat avec Howard L. Berman (Congressman)
et Louis Giscard d’Estaing (Député du Puy-de-Dôme), un dîner avec
James Goodnight (Fondateur de SAS Institute) et une rencontre autour
de Peter B. Lyons (assistant Secretary of Nuclear Energy).
Des séminaires de réflexion se sont tenus sur des thèmes majeurs liés
au développement durable, aux infrastructures, à la diversité.
Au total plus de 3000 participants ont assisté aux différents événements
organisés par la French-American Foundation – France, ce qui montre
le rayonnement et le dynamisme de notre association.
In 2010-2011, exchange programs, meetings, studies and researchs
have helped to fulfill the mission of the association.
The annual seminar of the Young Leaders was held in Marseille from
September 21 to 26 with forty participants.
About fifty meetings were held in 2010 permitting French and
American speakers to share their experiences and insights in various
fields. Among the most significant events : a dinner in honor of Mr.
Bart Gordon (Chairman of the Science and Technology Commission
at the House of Representatives), a panel discussion with Howard L.
Berman (Congressman) and Louis Giscard d’Estaing (Deputé of Puyde-Dome),
a dinner with James Goodnight (SAS Institute founder) and
a dinner with Peter B. Lyons (Assistant Secretary of Nuclear Energy).
Task force meetings were held on major topics related to sustainable
development, infrastructure, and diversity.
In total more than 3,000 participants attended the various events
organized by the French-American Foundation - France, demonstrating
the influence and dynamism of the association.
