DAVID MARSHALL furniture tops, wash hand basins and covers: to allow you to enjoy the uniquebeauty of these pieces, as if it were the first day, we would recommend that you follow the instructionsbelow:- Do not spill acidic products or substances onto these pieces such as chlorhydric acid, hair dyes,hydrochloric acid, etc., as well as basic products such as bleach, soda, solid chlorine, etc.- Do not, under any circumstances, use straw, wire or abrasive scouring pads which could scratch themetal surface.- To maintain the original shine of the piece, after use, it is recommended to wipe it using a dry softchamois leather, flannelette or non-acrylic cloth (with no abrasive fibre).- If, inadvertently, any stain or surface marks occurs it is recommended to clean them, as soon aspossible, with a cotton cloth soaked in metal cleaning agent (Aladdin, Sidol or similar), carefullyfollowing the application instructions which accompany such metal cleaning products.Mirrors: the glass must be dried thoroughly when wet. Commercial cleaning products must be used forthe glass.FAQ´S (FREQUENTLY ASked QUESTIONS)COLLECTION SILEX• Which tool should I use to cut the trays and panels?The trays must be cut using a diamond wheel cutter similar to those used for cutting stone, tile, brick etc,whilst the panels are cut using tools similar to those used for wood.Rectangular extra flat traysRectangular extra flat angular trays• How can I eliminate the shower trap function?The cylinder must be extracted and the lid removed (see Fig. 3), after which the cylinder is put back in itsposition.Fig. 3• The tray does not drain off the water and is correctly fitted and levelled.This problem could be due to the shower trap and / or the drainage pipe being blocked or a second showertrap being fitted. In these cases, remove the stainless steel grille and remove the part of the shower trap(see Fig. 3). If the problem persists, it is probable that the pipe is blocked. If the problem is solved thismeans there is a second shower trap, in which case the part removed should not be put back.• What material should I use to stick the panels or trays?The sticking and/or sealing of the various elements will be performed using a commercial sealer suchas SIKA which are products sold ready-to-use thus not requiring mixing and which are generally quickdrying. These types of products are also usually used in expansion joints with little movement, bathroomdevices, reinforcement adhesive, door and window frames. WE HAVE THIS.EnglishCutting method14Fig. 1 Fig. 2• What products should I use to clean my SILEXT products?Fundamentally soap and water or any other commercial bathroom cleaning product applied using a spongeor cloth are sufficient. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD PRODUCTS CONTAINING SOLVENTSBE USED AND / OR ABRASIVE SPONGES OR CLOTHS since these could damage the tray surface. Inthe event of tough stains so-called “magic stain removers” can be used which can be purchased in anysupermarket.• When using the tray for the first time I see that the water does not flow correctly in spite of beingcorrectly installed and levelled.During their manufacture and transport, the trays are charged with static electricity which means that thefirst few times the water does not flow properly. If you wash the tray with water, soap and a cloth you willsee that this problem is considerably minimised. After this, and after having used a few times, the problemwill disappear completely.• What are the dimensions and features of the available shower traps?The shower traps have been designed and are manufactured in Germany observing the highestquality requirements by one of the leading manufacturers on the market. The shower traps have theirown extraction unit for cleaning which can be accessed by removing the FIORA grille and pulling thecorresponding handle. See the general dimensions below.• What drainage capacity do the trays have?All the trays have a maximum drainage capacity for liquids with a viscosity similar to that of water up to0,6 litres/second.• What are the downward slopes of the trays?The design of the FIORA trays and the subsequent manufacture of the moulds have, as one of the mostrelevant factors, the objective of providing the tray with slopes which enable draining the water quickly ata minimum rate of 0.6 litres/second.Depending on the dimensions and the tray model, these slopes fluctuate between a minimum of 2.5 % toa maximum of 10 %, depending on the drain position.SLOPE 2.5 TO 10%Fig.4• What material are the grilles made of? The grilles are made of stainless steel cut using high definitionlaser and with both sides polished.• Can I request spare parts?FIORA has a stock of spare parts for all the tray components. Ask for a quotation from our CommercialDepartment for those you require.• Is it possible to repair SILEXPOL products?FIORA articles manufactured based on this material (wash hand basins, furniture tops and shower traysfundamentally) can be repaired if they have not been used properly. In this way, areas which have suffereddamage to the top coat of paint can be retouched or even in areas where there are holes (caused forexample by falling sharp elements). See the following instructions “INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE SURFACEREPAIR OF SILEXPOL PRODUCTS”.15
