COLLECTION ELAX• Which tool should I use to cut the trays and panels?The trays must be using a utility knife.• What products should I use to clean my ELAX products?Fundamentally soap and water, or any other commercial bathroom cleaning product, applied using asponge or cloth are sufficient. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD PRODUCTS CONTAININGSOLVENTS BE USED AND / OR ABRASIVE SPONGES OR CLOTHS since these could damage the traysurface.• When using the tray for the first time I see that the water does not flow correctly in spite of beingcorrectly installed and levelled.During their manufacture and transport, the trays are charged with static electricity which means that thefirst few times the water does not flow properly. If you wash the tray with water, soap and a cloth you willsee that this problem is considerably minimised. After this, and after having used a few times, the problemwill disappear completely.English• What material should I use to stick the trays?The sticking and/or sealing of the various elements will be carried out using a tube of MS80, both forsticking the tray to the linear drainage channel and the grille.• What are the tray thicknesses?All our trays have an average thickness of 10 mm, with a tolerance of + 1 mm.• Can I request spare parts?FIORA has a stock of spare parts for all the tray components. Ask for a quotation from our CommercialDepartment for those you require.• Can the tray be cut?Yes, it is very straightforward. You only need a good blade or utility knife. The tray is sent with the standardmanufacturing measurement. Once in the installation location the exact measurements are marked on thetray and you proceed with cutting. You only have to run the utility knife several times along the cutting lineand when the split becomes visible you gradually fold it inwards and outwards until it finally breaks off.Fig.6• What type of grille designs are available for the Elax trays with linear drain design?There are 2 options, a stainless steel linear drainage channel and another using an infill into the channelof Elax which is the same colour as the remainder of the tray. The stainless steel drainage channel can beused in conjunction with an Elax tray or independently for other wet floor applications.• Can a <strong>Fiora</strong> linear drainage channel be utilised in the other wet floor applications? Where could it bepositioned?Yes. It could go either on one side against wall or centred in the floor.FURNITURE• What tool should I use to cut the furniture tops and the strips if required?The furniture tops must be cut using a diamond wheel cutter similar to those used for cutting stone, tile,brick etc, whilst the strips are cut using tools similar to those used for wood.• What products should l use to clean my SILEXPOL products (furniture tops and wash hand basins)?Fundamentally, soap and water or any other commercial bathroom cleaning product applied using asponge or cloth are sufficient. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD PRODUCTS CONTAININGSOLVENTS BE USED AND / OR ABRASIVE SPONGES OR CLOTHS since these could damage thesurface. In those cases where the stain is difficult to remove, so-called “magic stain removers” can beused which can be purchased in any supermarket.16Fig.5• The tray does not drain off the water and is correctly fitted and levelled.This problem could be due to the shower trap and / or the drainage pipe being blocked or a second showertrap being fitted. In these cases, remove the stainless steel grille and remove the shower trap part. If theproblem persists the pipe probably has a blockage. If the problem is solved this means there is a secondshower trap in which case the part removed should not be put back.• The linear drainage channel does not drain off the water and is correctly fitted and levelled.This problem could be due to the shower trap and / or the drainage pipe being blocked or a second showertrap being fitted. In these cases, lift the rectangular part inside the linear drainage channel, unscrew theshower trap and remove the parts inside the shower trap (see illustration), if the problem persists the pipeprobably has a blockage. If the problem disappears this means there is a second shower trap or showertrap bowl.• When using the SILEXPOL wash hand basin for the first time I see that the water does not flowcorrectly in spite of being correctly installed and levelled.During their manufacture and transport, the wash hand basins are charged with static electricity whichmeans that the first few times the water does not flow properly. If you wash the wash hand basin withwater, soap and a cloth you will see that this problem is considerably minimised. After this, and afterhaving used a few times, the problem will disappear completely.• What material should I used to stick the furniture tops and wash hand basins?The sticking and/or sealing of the various elements will be performed using a commercial silicon sealerwhich are products sold ready- to-use thus not requiring mixing and which are generally quick drying.These types of products are also usually used in expansion joints with little movement, sanitary devices,reinforcement adhesive, door and window frames.17
