Une rivière en dangerMalgré la protection dont bénéficientles milieux naturels qu’elle traverse,la <strong>Versoix</strong> est une rivière en danger.L’urbanisation très rapi<strong>de</strong> et très fortedu Pays <strong>de</strong> Gex pose <strong>de</strong>s problèmesd’usage excessif <strong>de</strong> la ressource eneau et <strong>de</strong> fragmentation du paysageavec la disparition du tissu bocager et<strong>de</strong>s corridors biologiques. Les travauxentrepris dans le cadre <strong>de</strong> la renaturation<strong>de</strong>s cours d’eau et du contrat <strong>de</strong>rivières Pays <strong>de</strong> Gex-Léman ont cependantpermis <strong>de</strong> limiter les impacts <strong>de</strong>cette urbanisation.Les marais <strong>de</strong> la<strong>Versoix</strong> : au fondà gauche, le lac <strong>de</strong>Urbanisation duDivonne ; à droite,Pays <strong>de</strong> Gex.le Bois <strong>de</strong>s Portes32 puis le Léman.33
