This repertoire includes mainly the as yet incompletely researchedliterature for String Quintet as well as quintet and quartet formations for strings plus a single windinstrument (Flute, Oboe, Clarinet) and in addition with Fortepiano. The crux of the ensemble‘s workremains the Viennese musical scene around 1800 with its contemporary development in Bohemia, earlyGerman romantic and French chamber music between the revolutions.LES ADIEUX was founded in 1986 and has since made a name for itself as the leading chamber musicgroup in its field. Concert tours have taken the ensemble to almost all European countries as well as SouthAmerica, Israel and India. Spurred on by the greater transparency and oft–times better balance betweentheir instruments, LES ADIEUX has opted for the use of those instruments customary at the beginning ofthe 19th century. Not just the music in itself but also the means by which the sound is achieved, have aparamount say in the effect on the listener.Eric Hoeprich (Clarinet)Solo Clarinettist in Frans Brüggen‘s “Orchestra of the 18th Century”; teaching post at the RoyalConservatory of The Hague.
