The flowchart shown below will assist you in determining whether or not a malfunction is in
fact a system error. If the system still fails to operate after you have carried out the
instructions in the flow chart, please contact your dealer.
1. The sensor is not working even though an obstacle is present
Is the ignition switch “ON”?

Is the shift lever still in "R" (reverse)?
YES
Is the cancellation switch “ON”?
(if this switch is available)

Turn on the ignition switch.
Shift the lever to the "R" (reverse) range.
Turn on the cancellation switch.
2. The buzzer is constantly ON or is emitting a continual fast
intermittent beep
Is the vehicle pulling a trailer?

Is there any debris on the sensing
portion of the sensor?

Are there any obstacles nearby?
NO
Please consult your dealer.

Turn cancellation switch to “OFF” mode.
Remove the debris.
Remove the obstacle or move the
vehicle.
3. The buzzer is emitting a continual intermittent tone with
long beeps and short pauzes
There is a problem with the connection of the sensors, please contact your dealer.
