COMMON INSTALL TOOLS
Listed below is a collection of tools commonly used when installing Westcan products into vans. Tools such as the
drill stop are not mandatory, but do make installation a much safer and easier process so we do highly recommend
that you use them, or very similar tools, to complete your product installation.
1/4” ADAPTER W/ 3” CUT OFF WHEEL
The cut off wheel is useful for cutting various
products, including end panels. This can allow
for a wider usable floor cargo area.
CORDLESS 1/2” DRILL W/ KEYLESS CHUCK
1” X 3” POLY DRILL STOP W/ 3/8” DRILL BIT
Don’t drill too far! If you have a drill stop, it will
prevent drilling too deep and unintentionally
dimpling or puncturing your van body.
CORDLESS IMPACT DRIVER
3/4” FORSTNER BORING BIT
This bit is used to bore access holes
for plywood floor liners when installing
Westcan install kits.
1/4” AIR DIE GRINDER
(Die grinder pictured with 3” cut off wheel)
The air die grinder is an alternative to using
an adapter and wheel on a cordless drill, and
exchanges use of power for an air connection.
CORDLESS GRINDER W/ 5” CUTOFF WHEEL
This tool is an alternative to using a 3” cut off
wheel on a drill or air die grinder. This option
uses a 5” cut off wheel.
NOGA HAND DEBURRING TOOL
This tool is used to remove sharp edges when
you cut aluminum to make products safer to
work with.
1/4” THREAD INSERT NUT INSTALL AIR TOOL
An air pneumatic tool for quick installation
of 1/4” insert nuts.
