viABSTRACTSThe publication of the Gross Regional Domestic Product's (GRDP) ofGunungkidul Regency is an annual publication that has been published by BPS.Publication GRDP contain nine industrial origin, there are Agriculture Sector, Miningand Quarrying Sector, Manufacturing Industries Sector, Electricity, Gas and WaterSupply Sector, Construction Sector, Trade, Hotel and Restaurant Sector, Transportationand Communication Sector, Bank an Finance Sector and Services Sector.In year 2008, eight economic sectors had been positive growth. But Mining andQuarrying Sector had decrease about 0,66 percent. The economic growth of GunungkidulRegency was 4,39 percent. The economic growth was supported by Finance Sector grew7,56 percent, Electricity and Water Supply Sector grew 7,25 percent, Construction Sectorgrew 6,52 percent, Agriculture Sector grew 5,27 percent, Trade, Hotel and RestaurantSector grew 4,34 percent, Transport and Communication Sector grew 3,67 percent,Services Sector grew 3,07 percent and Manufacturing Industries Sector grew 1,37percent.The biggest contributor to GRDP formation was mainly from Agriculture Sector,that of 35,07 percent. Viewed by sub sector, the biggest contributor was farm-food cropssub sector (24,96 percent). The other biggest contributor was Services Sector, Trade,Hotel and Restourant Sector and Manufacturing Industries Sector, that of 17,30 percent14,62 percent and 9,54 percent. While contributions of Electricity, Gas and Water supplywas relative small, those of 0,85 percent.GRDP per capita of Gunungkidul Regency gradually recovered. In year 2008GRDP per capita of Gunungkidul Regency at market price about 8,01 million rupiahs.The GRDP per capita at market price in increased 12,68 percent compared with that in2007.
