Sabah Forestry DepartmentApart from facilitary courses, as a means to evaluate the workforce effi ciency level, the Human Resource Development Divisionalso receives and processes applications from staff and offi cers who want to sit for the evaluation competency level [PenilaianTahap Kecekapan (PTK)] examination and Sabah Public Service Examination (Peperiksaan Perkhidmatan Awam Negeri Sabah).These examinations are fully handled by the Sabah Public Services Department (JPANS).The Human Resources Development Division, also acts as the secretariat for the Human Resource Development Panel tochoose and evaluate eligible staff for the “Excellent Service Award”. This award is one of the department’s efforts to appreciatethe contribution of outstanding staff in 2008. These appreciation certifi cates are believed to be able to infl uence the employee’smotivation and to maintain their excellent performance levels in years to come. For those unsuccessful staff, the evaluation exercisewill increase their competitiveness to do better next time.
