If the future is invisible, if technology is invisible,
we have no choice but to remain in a
huge vacuum.
So we create, Hairi Vogel and I, Giuseppe
Zambon, an empty space, however dictated by
invisibility. Those entering the exhibition are at
ease, nothing impending, until the interactive
Analogical and Digital film starts.
Then everything is animated, gets larger, the
fight between AnaLogica and D.G.Tale reaches
epic tones.
In the meantime, after a week, 1500 websites
are born in the Experimenta Blog, and we note
that everyone is really happy to have their own
page on the net, a Fistful of Your Pixels.
Lo Zen Pong, magically diffuses sounds and
small balls. The public plays them with sockets,
buttons, handles….everything in the air
it seems, visible and invisible, artistically satisfied,
we thank D.no and Silvia for all the help,
patience and professionalism shown. In two
adjacent rooms however our paths cross with
two people each in love with an object which
they care for and take care of, as if it was
a small creature, Giovanni Romanò, someone
who has a physical and emotional relationship
with telephones, and has another way of
thinking about communication, a respect for
the analogical, small welds, the noise that the
40/50 telephone exchange machine emits..
Silvano Gallian instead methodically builds
the simulator-accelerator inside the Nuclear
Physics Laboratory in Turin; he creates it with
great skill and attention to its functioning as
well as to the aesthetics. The result: a mega
scientific pinball machine.
Other curious data: the objects inside the show
case are endless and curious, one above all;
the calendar of Frate Indovino dated ‘59. The
Radio Taxi in the room of the invisible sounds is
from Bangkok, the answer phone is from Paris.
The cash-lamp-camera of Pugno di Pixel is by
Bruno Petronzi, whoever could be interested in
buying it.
