AMOS 3<br />

AMOS 3 is scheduled to be launched with a<br />

Zenit 3-rocket on 24 March 2008. It<br />

will replace AMOS 1 at 356° East (4°<br />

West). AMOS 3 will provide 15 Ku-Band<br />

transponders with a bandwith of<br />

72 MHz. The new bird will have<br />

a lifetime of 12 years.<br />

BADR 6<br />

It will bring 20 Ku- and 24 C-Band<br />

transponders for 26° East.<br />

BADR 6 will provide more<br />

space for this important orbit<br />

position in the Arabic world.<br />

Launcher is once more Ariane 5.<br />

TURKSAT 3A<br />

A<strong>no</strong>ther brand-new bird for Turkish viewers<br />

will start in March or April 2008 with an Ariane<br />

5-rocket. It will use 24 Ku-band transponders<br />

at 42° East, replacing TURKSAT 1C.<br />
