dell’IBA (International
Bear Association) sulla
ricerca scientifi ca e sulla gestione
delle popolazioni di orso,
che si terrà a Riva del Garda
dal 27 settembre al 1 ottobre
2005.
Il convegno internazionale si

Ministero dell’Ambiente e del
Consiglio d’Europa, nonché

Conference (International
Bear Association) on scientifi
c research into and management
of the bear population, to
be held at Riva del Garda from
27 September to 1 October
2005.
Patronised by the Italian Ministry
of the Environment
and the European Council,
the conference also involves
numerous authorities, such as
The IBA is a no-profi t association
open to professional
biologists and administrators
involved in managing wild fauna,
and others interested in
conserving all the bear species
in the world.
It has approximately 800 members
from 47 nations and promotes
international conferences
on all aspects of bear biology,
ecology and management, alternately
held in Eurasia and
North America. This is the fi rst
time Italy has been chosen to
host the Eurasian session of the
conference.
The last specimens of brown
bears to survive in the Italian
Alps were sighted in Trento
territory, and in 1999 a repocongress
& exhibition

amministratori coinvolti
nella gestione della fauna selvatica
ed altri interessati alla
conservazione di tutte le specie
di orso presenti al mondo.
Riunisce circa 800 membri
di 47 nazioni promuovendo
convegni internazionali su tutti
gli aspetti della biologia, ecologia
e gestione degli orsi, che
si tengono alternativamente
teressierte an der Erhaltung der
Bärenpopulation.
Sie vereinigt 800 Mitglieder
aus 47 Nationen und hält internationale
Tagungen - vor allem
in Eurasien und Nord Amerika
- zu Biologie, Ökologie und Verwaltung
der Bärenpopulation.
Dieses Jahr ist zum ersten Mal
die Sektion Eurasien in Italien
zu Gast.
In den italienischen Alpen
haben nur ganz wenige
Braunbären überlebt und einige
davon wurden im Gebiet des
Trentino gesichtet.
Im Jahre 1999 startete ein Ansiedlungsprogramm,
das 10
aus Slowenien eingeführte
Braunbären und mindesten 12
Neugeborene zwischen 2002
