Information
Hotels: the first column shows
the category of the establishment,
from five to one star. 3 and
4-star hotels can be marked with
an S indicating the “superior”
category, while 5-star hotels can
be marked with an L indicating
the “luxury” category.
Other subtypes of accommodation
facilities are marked as
follows.
R= RTA. Hotel-Residence. Supplies
accommodation in living
units (flats or rooms) equipped
with a private kitchen.
G= garnì. Supplying a breakfast
service, with no internal restaurant.
M= meublè. Supplies neither
breakfast nor internal restaurant
service, but overnight stay only.
AT= spa hotel. Supplies permanent
spa facilities and is an
authorised spa centre in compliance
with the law.
M= motel. Supplies garage facilities.
V= hotel village. Supplies special
services similar to those of a
holiday village: swimming pool,
children’s pool or private beach,
whirlpool, children’s playing
area, etc.
AD= decentralised hotel. Facility
located in the historical town
centre of municipalities with less
than 5,000 inhabitants. Supplies
a reception service in one point,
while the flats (equipped with
kitchen) are decentralised in
different buildings (300 metres
apart at the most) and situated
in a pedestrian area.
RE= period residence. Accommodation
in buildings of particular
prestige and historical value,
mainly furnished with period
furnishings.
CG= congress centre. Supplies
facilities, equipment and specialised
services for the organisation
of congress events and
conventions.
BF= beauty farm. Supplies specialised
services for cosmetic
and dietary treatments.
CB= wellbeing centre. Supplies
services, treatments and equipment
for psycho-physical wellbeing
and relaxation.
Guesthouses and bed & breakfast
facilities will be indicated in the
first column with the following abbreviations:
aff.cam and b&b.
Alongside the name of the location
you will find the postcode,
the dialling code, the presence of
a railway station where applicable
and the high season periods
for beach and spa resorts.
Alongside the name of the hotel,
you will find:
_ (a.a.) which indicates annual
opening, or (a.s.) which indicates
seasonal opening, followed by
the periods in which the hotel
is operational (the months are
marked by Roman numerals);
_ Number of rooms, beds and
bathrooms. The latter are preceded
by a B;
_ Conventional symbols (as
indicated in the key to symbols)
relating to the equipment and
services.
In campsites, alongside the
name you will find two additional
indications with respect to other
accommodation facilities:
_ the surface in square metres;
_ the maximum number of
guests allowed.
The other columns contain the
prices of the various types of
rooms and, in the last column,
the breakfast service which may
be included, unavailable or for
an extra charge (in this case the
cost will be indicated in the last
column).
If a facility indicates two prices
for the same type of room or
service, the first of the two prices
is to be considered valid for the
low season, while the second is
for the high season.
No surcharge is payable for heating
and any surcharges for air-conditioning
must be indicated in the
price table on display at reception
in the accommodation facility.
Notice: in compliance with the
laws in forces, the operators
are free to establish their own
prices and inform the Provincial
authorities of such prices by 1st
October every year, with validity
from 1st January of the following
year. The high season periods on
the other hand are established
by the Provincial authorities.
By 1st March of the following
year, the operators are entitled
to increase the prices applicable
from the following 1st June.
This brochure contains the maximum
prices notified by 1st October
2008, which are valid from
1st January 2009.
The services, where indicated,
are available in at least one third
of the rooms or living units of the
accommodation facility.
In order to avoid misunderstandings
and possible disputes, it is
advisable to consult the price
table, which must be shown
in the reception area of all accommodation
facilities, and to
enter into agreements in which
the prices and other contractual
clauses relating to the stay are
defined.
In the case of claims, the Provincial
authorities may not legally
authorise the reimbursement of
sums to the customer.
In the case of disputes between
hotel owners and customers,
the IAT offices accept claims and
intervene for reconciliatory purposes
only, while for claims regarding
the application of prices,
